FAQs

How much time do you require for a sound check?

All we ask for is 1hr prior to the event taking place, provided we have easy access to the stage. Some venues can be more difficult than others to load into.

How long do you typically play for?

We typically play from 8pm till 12am with a 30 minute break running alongside your buffet.

Can your set timings be flexible?

We are more than happy to accommodate outwith our standard timings within reason.

Are we able to pick the songs on the setlist

As long as your chosen songs are on our set list we are happy to play to your likings.

What will the band wear?

We can tailor our look to suit your needs on the night. For awards ceremonies, we can dress formally in black clothes and for private parties and less formal events we can dress more casual if you prefer.

Can you learn our first dance?

We’d love to! It’s one of the most satisfying parts of what we do that we can make your event unique by doing so.

Do you provide music during your breaks?

We have an iPod which we use for this; alternatively you can provide your own playlist which we can play through our PA system.

Does your band perform ceilidhs?

Of course we can! Played fully live and with all steps called, we play a short ceilidh set of your favourite dances including The Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant and Strip The Willow.

Is your equipment reliable?

Absolutely. Our PA and Lighting systems are serviced regularly and applicable electrical items have the relevant PAT certificates.

Are their additional services/options available?

We offer an additional DJ package by our drummer Ian and an acoustic act for drinks receptions which can be provided upon request.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes! There are no hidden charges in our price unless stated otherwise.

Does your band have a PAT Cert and PLI Insurance?

Yes we do! When we are playing we want you and your guests to be safe, therefore we are fully covered with PAT Certification and PLI insurance

What do you do if one of the band members are ill or on holiday etc?

Don’t worry, on the rare occasion this happens it won’t affect your booking: having studied and played with many musicians over the years we have very able deps for each position in the band.
